Preparing To Go Home

Overall, mom has had a good day today. Her physical therapy was very productive and her energy level has been very good. Her pain level is much less when she is up and moving than when she is lying down. Lying down her pain level was about a 9 today, but when she was up and active her pain level decreased to a 7 and mom said she was feeling, "pretty good." The physical therapist has encouraged her to get out of bed and walk with members of the family on her own and that is a great sign moving toward independence. Tomorrow she will be doing her physical therapy outside so she can become familiar with using her walker on the sidewalk and managing curbs and walkways and the blacktop. Monday she heads home with dad.
